“Let all your things be done with charity.” 1 Corinthians 16:14

Not a rule for better manners but a way of life, one where every word, every act, and every thought is Jesus living His life through us.

Not “Try harder to be kind,” but “Let love carry everything you do.”

“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.” John Wesley

We are born thinking of how things affect us. But love turns outward, listens instead of arguing, gives instead of grasping, forgives instead of keeping score.

Paul meant that love should shape everything: the way we speak, the way we work, the way we treat those who wound us, and even the way we think about those who differ from us.

When everything flows from love, everything heals.

Genuine love never begins with us. It begins with God.

“We love him, because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

When you believe that God’s love for you is complete and unconditional, that He loves you now, not the future version of you, you stop trying to prove your value. You stop fighting for control. You want to love others with the same love He gives you.

“Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.” Matthew 5:44

That kind of love isn’t sentimental. It’s supernatural. It’s forgiving when everything in you wants revenge. It’s blessing those who broke your heart. It’s choosing grace when bitterness would feel far more satisfying.

“Love is not affectionate feeling, but a steady wish for the loved person’s ultimate good as far as it can be obtained.” C. S. Lewis

Genuine love isn’t about liking everyone or approving of what they do. It’s about wanting their good, even when that means letting go of your right to be angry.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean saying, “What you did was fine.” It means saying, “You no longer owe me your punishment.” That’s freedom. That’s love working itself out in real life.

Love transforms the ordinary. Doing all things with love doesn’t mean floating through life on feelings. It means quietly inviting Jesus into every task, every word, every choice, into your home, your work, your friendships, and even your inner thoughts.

Would I say this if Jesus were standing beside me? Would I want to be treated this way? These questions keep your heart open.

“And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.” Colossians 3:14

“Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear, and the blind can see.” Mark Twain

“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” John 13:35

That’s how the world sees Him, not through our arguments or achievements, but through our love.

The early church had no wealth, influence, or power. What they had was love, and that love was impossible to explain apart from Jesus Himself. You and I can live the same way. We can love people who don’t deserve it because Jesus loved us when we didn’t deserve it either.

We can forgive because we were forgiven.

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32

What does it look like to do all things with love? It looks like humility when you’d rather be right. Love looks like patience when someone tests your limits. It looks like kindness when nobody notices. It looks like Jesus alive and active in you.

Let love be the “why” behind everything.

When love drives your words and your choices, life becomes lighter. The burden of anger drops away. The need to be first loses its hold. You live freely and quietly, like someone who has finally found home.

Love never fails. It may look like weakness to the world, but in the eyes of heaven, love always wins.

“Charity never faileth.” 1 Corinthians 13:8

So whatever you do today, do it with love. Speak it. Show it. Live it.

For love, the love of Jesus living His life through you, is the one thing that will last forever.

“Whatever you do, do it with kindness, do it with grace, do it in love, and you’ll never do it in vain.” Unknown.

Matthew 22:37–40

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

2 Thessalonians 3:5

And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
