The most basic principle is that God owns everything and that we are simply stewards of His possessions, talents, time, and everything in all His creation. There is a Biblical way to lead. We are not leading something that belongs to us to leading what He has loaned us.

Biblical Leadership

Nebuchadnezzar had thought it was all him, all about him. He built it. He did it all till God humbled him. When he came to he had a different opinion. We must learn that Biblical leadership is not about us but Him. It is not about us but them.

When you recognize that God has given you all that you have including your position then it is time to lead as He teaches us to lead. We do not lead like we were taught in business school. Our textbook is the Bible. We seek to do things like Jesus wants us to do.

Biblical leadership is about others. It is not using people to get what I want or need but using my resources to build people. Jesus washed the feet of the one He knew would betray Him.

Biblical leadership is not about authority, position, or dominion. It is about meeting needs. It is about giving, helping, serving, and making a difference in this world.

Biblical leadership is seeing and prioritizing the needs of others. It is not about ruling over, bossing around, managing but about valuing people. Where could your business go if your people bought into it? What would happen if they were excited to come to work because it was fulfilling to work with a person who valued them and their family.

Biblical leadership is about understanding our people. It is about really caring, about listening. It is about using your position, your business to build up and further the career and lives of others.

Consider how your leadership in a Christlike manner forges the best possible future for many. You make a way for them to make a way forward.
