Dear friends,
Betty and I thank you for all you do for us through prayer, friendship, and financial support. You are making a difference.
January was quite a busy month, and I loved it.
Our grandson, Benjamin Soncco, married Johanna Bush on January 6.
I spent much of the month editing my newest book, “Pain to Praise” and helping Chris, our son, with his book “Check What You Are Chasing.” Both books will be released in the coming weeks. We pray both books will bless you immensely.
I preached in English and Spanish in Georgia and left for Arequipa, Peru, for nine days. There, I preached many times and taught a graduate class on Expository Preaching for a total of 24 hours. I had a blast.
Earlier in Peru, I had felt horrible, panic attacks, temperature swings, and difficulty breathing in the night, but after changing my diet and how I took my medications, I am no longer dealing with all the mess.
Returning from Peru, we traveled to preach all day in Virginia. Pastor Don Rice is a great friend and an encouragement to all.
Arriving home, we had a few days before leaving to preach at a missions and stewardship conference in Lenoir City, Tennessee, with pastor Adolfo Bourdet. What a tremendous Spanish church. They have an English ministry, so I had to translate several of my messages from Spanish to English on the fly. God blessed.
We returned home and, a couple of days later, left for Querétaro, Mexico, where I preached Sunday morning and afternoon. Pastor José Benitez was a great blessing. God allowed us to visit with the family that did so much to teach us Spanish. Alberto and Berta Romero. We also visited with Hermana Luisa, Georgia Webb, who ran our language school, to thank her for all she did in teaching us. This trip was a gift from heaven, seeing Queretaro, Mexico, and all the work God is doing here.
In February, I am scheduled to preach a Mission’s Sunday and am so excited to have the opportunity. I will also record the audio version of my newest book, “Pain to Praise!”

Betty will have a birthday this month. Our grandkids think we are getting very old, but I will tell you that God is blessing more today than ever.
