Some days, it feels like life is just too much. Maybe you know what it's like to feel cut off and alone, surrounded by trouble on every side. That's where David was. His son had run him out of the kingdom, his friends were gone, and all he could do was hope that God would see his pain and have mercy.
In today's episode, I talk about how David managed to find hope when everything seemed lost. He remembered these words: "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want." David didn't focus on the mess. He focused on the Shepherd. That's what made all the difference.
We look at the rest that only God can give, even when the world around us is falling apart. David said, "God makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters." I tell a little story about a stubborn old horse I used to have and how he would only drink from calm water. God knows how to bring you the kind of peace that doesn't depend on everything getting better first.
If you're tired or if your heart's been heavy lately, I hope you'll listen in. I discuss how God restores our soul, not because we have figured out how to fix ourselves, but because He loves us and continually shows up. Sometimes, the storm clouds do roll back, and sometimes, the storm keeps raging, but either way, the Shepherd doesn't leave.
Many of you're facing real struggles in marriage, family, finances, ministry, or perhaps just the burden of feeling like you're not enough. This episode is for you. We'll walk through how God promises to guide us, step by step, even when we don't know the way. He's doing it for His own name's sake, not because we've earned it, but because He's good.

Only do that if it's a blessing to you. I don't need anything else.
You are not alone. God hasn't left you. He will come after you, bring you back to green pastures, and find you some still water. That's what the Shepherd does. And I want you to know that you can trust Him to keep doing it, one day at a time.
Thank you for listening. Thank you for sharing this journey with me.
