What are you thinking?

Have you ever noticed that your mind never slows down? It is constantly active, and thousands of thoughts pass through our minds every minute. These thoughts are repetitive and recurring. Much of what we think and say to ourselves is negative, and these negative thought patterns adversely affect our attitudes and perspectives.

We must learn how to break the cycle of negative thoughts in our lives. Biblically, we have more control over our thoughts than we might believe. By working at it, we can change our thought habits.

Changing the way we think will change our reality. Our thoughts influence our emotions, behaviors, and life experiences. We need to free up some mental space to accomplish all that we want to do with our lives.

Practicing meditation will help. As we change our thoughts, we will change our beliefs. We do not need to continue living in the past or constantly thinking about our failures.

This will require work and consistent practice. If we master our thoughts, we will master our lives.

Someone has said that we think 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts per day. Acknowledging our problem and then taking steps to mitigate the issue will change everything.

Those traumatic experiences in our past have worked into all of our thinking. It affects our attitudes, our potential and future work, our marriage, our children, and even our church.
