Christmas is when we think of Jesus’ coming to the earth. Why did He come? What was His purpose?

One purpose was to confirm the Father’s will. He surely didn’t come to condemn the world, but He also wanted you to know that His Father sent Him.

Salvation isn’t just the idea of Jesus, the Son of God. Salvation is a God thing—the entire Godhead, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. People often wrongly imply that Jesus loves you, but the Father does not love you as much.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus came to the earth to confirm that the Father, His Father, loves you. Read.

‌God, the Father, sent Jesus to rescue us. It was God’s will for Jesus to die for us. Pay attention to this verse.

‌Jesus gave Himself for our sins according to the will of God and our Father.

I desperately want you to see that God the Father loves you. God the Father so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son for our salvation. God doesn’t want anyone to go to hell.

Maybe you are still a little confused. You might think that God is like the angry dad waiting to punish you or the judge who wants to pass judgment on you. Maybe you believe God is harsh and Jesus is sweet. Maybe you see God destroying His Son in righteous anger, but salvation is a God thing.

God, the Father, loves you and wants you saved. He gave His only Son, who loves you and died for you. God, the Holy Spirit, loves you, searches for you, and chases you with the love of God to bring you to God.

God became human flesh in Jesus. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are three distinct persons, yet they are inseparable. All of God was in Christ, and all of God died on the cross for you.

D‌o you see it? Christmas is not just about the birth of Jesus. It expresses God’s love in giving His Son and the Holy Spirit to bring us to the knowledge of that truth. God, all of God loves you. God is One in three persons, but they all love you with infinite, unconditional, pursuing love.
