Paul ends his letter to the Romans with a few simple words of truth.

“Mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly… I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.”

That’s not just for the early church. It’s for us today.

Some voices in life don’t build you up. They divide. They twist. They make you suspicious and bitter. Paul says to stay away from that. Don’t let it pull you in.

You don’t have to spend your life fighting arguments or fixing everyone. Just stay close to what’s good.

Fill your mind with what is pure and true. Keep company with people who bring peace. Look for God’s hand in the middle of ordinary days.

Stay pure in heart. That doesn’t mean flawless. It means honest before God. It means keeping your motives clean and your heart soft. Purity isn’t something you make happen; it’s something God keeps alive in you when you trust Him.

Then Paul says something powerful.

“The God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet.”

You don’t have to win the battle. It’s already won. Jesus has already crushed the enemy. The victory is not about you working harder. It’s about you resting in what Christ has already done.

So take the pressure off. You don’t have to hold everything together. Let grace do the heavy lifting.

Your part is simple. Walk in love.

Love people who are hard to love.

Speak peace where others stir up tension.

Choose kindness when the world pushes for anger.

When you stay close to goodness and walk in love, peace follows you. You don’t have to chase victory. It’s already under your feet.
